In the framework of V-LED’s new partnership with the Kuza Project team in Kenya – the training series on developing bankable local climate actions in Kwale, launched in December 2016, continues with a focus on entrepreneurship in the waste sector.
The Kuza team has successfully strengthened youth entrepreneurship in waste recycling in Mombasa and is now looking forward to share its experience with young entrepreneurs and community groups in Kwale County.
Starting on September 4th, the training will be delivered in close partnership with members of the local CSO network Kwale County Natural Resource Network (KCNRN), who were trained on how to develop local climate action projects during the ToT in December.
The focus of the training will be on the development of innovative, small-scale business plans that will tackle sustainability issues in the waste sector. A highlight of the upcoming and the following trainings will be the launch of the Climate Innovation Challenge – an award system that will reward the most promising bankable project proposals developed by participants of the trainings with technical assistance, networking support and seed funding.
