As part of its capacity building package the V-LED project is closely collaborating with the Academy of Managers for Construction and Cities (AMC). Under the Ministry of Construction (MOC), the Academy is tasked with building the capacity of subnational leaders and officers. V-LED is assisting the AMC, particularly the Institute for Urban Excellence, to develop training materials that address climate change resilience and low carbon development at the subnational level.
The training material will complement AMC’s 1961 training programme and will specifically focus on integrating climate resilience and low carbon development into urban planning and development strategies.
In the following three days, the ToT will pilot the training material with the AMC staff. It will further focus on strengthening the trainers’ facilitation skills that will support them in delivering the training at the city level.
